During these 100 years we have not only observed the markets, but have also actively helped shape them. Our innovations and constant drive for improvement have led us to the top of our industry.
2025
Payment via app
With the EMP 500 v7 / CLB, a 3-one payment solution has been developed that enables payment with a mobile phone, credit card or coins with just one device. This Bluetooth or NFC-based payment method offers more flexibility for operators of e.g. laundromats. Extensive backend functions are available via our web platform.
2020
New coin validator generation
The EMP 500 coin selector in the new v7 version captures the market. With a 32-bit micro processor technology highest quality of coin acceptance and at the same time an optimum of rejection of counterfeits is achieved. The new mechanical design with adaptive coin–on-a-string detection further enhances security of this device.

Expansion of the product range
wh Münzpüfer Dietmar Trenner GmbH is focused on production and distribution of mechanical coin selectors and electronic coin selector EMP 500. During the years the product range has been completed by solutions for special applications, such as coin selector including triggering for kicker tables. For laundry machines a variety of selectors is available.

Experience and Development
A Many years of experiences, steady development in close co-operation with our customers as well as close orientation on the market has come up with a new generation of coins selectors.

New Building
Tasteful blend of traditional and architecturally designed new buildings now provide extended production. r & d facilities, together with a purpose designed building exclusively reserved for customer service.

EMP 800
Our development of microelectronics in line with customer and market forces for miniaturisation, integration and reliability underscored with introduction of the electronic coin selector series EMP 800.
1992
Christian Trenner
Christian Trenner, the third generation of this family owned Company, continues with the established policy of investment in highly qualified people and the provision of state of the art equipment.
1991
Elektronic development
Development of the all electronic coin selector resulted in EMP 645 the first units being installed in parking machines in Paris.
1980
New factory
A new factory, with improved facilities is commissioned in Berlin-Zehlendorf.

Dietmar Trenner
With Dietmar Trenner becoming President of "Walter Hanke Mechanische Werkstätten" the company "wh Münzprüfer Dietmar Trenner GmbH" was born.
1967
Reconstruction
Following a period of reconstruction, production of coin selectors recommences and the world-wide distribution starts.
1948
Founding of company
Founded in 1925 under the direction of Walter Hanke, the Company instigates the development of mechanical coin selectors – initially for amusement machines in Berlin.
